1. Tonight, I am making the ultimate sacrifice:

I am going clubbing and not drinking alcohol.

    I don’t think I’ve ever done that.

But it’s for a good cause and I will also avoid an awful hangover.

I’ve also been eating a ton of fruit rather than sweet snacks.

All of this to shift these last two pounds and a quarter for graduation.

I’m also going dress shopping for graduation on Monday, which I’m very excited about!

  2. I Can Haz? of the Day
This Betsey Johnson ‘Sweet Confection’ dress is a right stunner, although the price tag is a little scary looking! $398 (which is roughly £247!!).
One day, you gorgeous piece of clothing. One day.

  3. Ok, so a bit of a blow this week:

I put on a quarter of a pound.

    BUT

Even though I’ve put on, it’s still only a quarter of a pound.

It’s just a little frustrating as I have been exercising as usual and being good food-wise.

But, hey ho, that’s sometimes how things work out and I’m just gonna push through this and keep at it.

I just want to shift two pounds and that extra quarter before my graduation (which is 9 days away). This would mean that I would have lost half a stone in total for my graduation day.

I know it can be done, I just have to keep at it!

  4. Lost three quarters of a pound this week!

I was kind of expecting it to be less purely because of how much I lost last week, and it’s still a loss which is always a good thing!

I also went to boxercise yesterday, which was really fun (if exhausting!). For those who don’t know, boxercise is basically a circuit of different exercises that boxers would do. For example, skipping, jogging, weights and beating the crap out of a punch-bag.

There’s also an opportunity to do a little bit of sparring with the instructor, which I loved. They teach you how to move and where to hold your hands, it makes you feel super tough! Although when I was sparring I bent my nail back and it bled, so be careful - it’s probably best to cut them down a little if you have particularly long nails and are considering doing something like this.

Apart from that small hiccup it was a great work-out and I’ll definitely be heading back soon!

  5. I Can Haz? of the Day
Only when I am very rich will I be able to afford this dress, but by god it is a beauty. ModCloth, you will be the extremely expensive death of me.

  6. I lost three pounds and a quarter this week!!!!

I don’t think I’ve ever lost that much in a week before!

Though it does make up for how slowly I’ve been losing in previous weeks.

I think it’s all the exercise I’ve been doing to be honest. I did the DVD four times this week, which is an hour of exercise every other day. And the fact that I own the proper equipment now really helps things along.

    These are my new dumbbells:

Whereas before I was using tins of food.

And this is my new exercise mat:

Whereas before I was using the hardwood floor. The knee bruises were not pretty.

Funnily enough, both of my purchases are Davina products and the exercise DVD I do is her’s too!

I know who I’m thanking if I get to my goal weight!

About me

The title of this blog is a quote from Oscar Wilde which I wrote out and stuck to my wall. When I first saw it I found it really spoke to me. It just seemed very apt!

This is just a little something one of my best friends inspired me to do. She was inspired by Gala Darling (check her out!) who promotes the idea of Radical Self Love. In other words, this blog will be dedicated to learning to reconnect with yourself and generate a positive self-image.

Why don't you start one too?
